Beaches in Split: swim, refresh and play picigin

Bačvice is most famous and most popular beach in the Split. It is all from fine sand. Because shallow sea you will see lot of people playing local game – pincigin. Beach Bačvice is also most popular all year night destination in Split. There is lot of night clubs on the same beach. Ovčice is much smaller pebble beach and it is also popular for locals and tourists. Next 5 minutes walking from Ovčice you will see next popular bay – small sand beach Firule. Beach Trstenik is pebble or gravel with shallow entrance and it is suitable for families with small children. Žnjan is newest built beach in Split and so far largest location for enjoy in sea and sun. The beach consists of several separated bays thus they are in fact several beaches stretching almost 1 km wide. Ježinac is first of few beaches located in west part of Split city, more precisely under the Park Forest Marjan. Kaštelet is a nice pebble beach and mostly younger people come here. This beach is also popular night location for going out.
