CNN's Naturist Heaven (Rab island)

Foreign media frequently describe Croatia as a ‘naturist paradise ‘, it’s therefore not surprising that CNN named island of Rab top destination for nudists. Rab island in Croatia is announced the birth place of nudism. In the essay about the ten islands for all sorts of folks CNN named Rab a shangri la for nudists, as the island is the birthplace of the modern ‘nude swimming’. As a good location for nudists, CNN highlights Lopar with its three beaches -Sahara, Stolac and Ciganka, and after washing, trip to the old town of Rab is recommended.

Baredine Cave

Such shapes have been created, some of which are exceptional, such as the 10 meter long and high curtains, a very realistic sculpture of Our Lady, the body of a milkmaid called Milka, the leaning tower of Pisa and snowman the torchbearer-who has become the trade mark of our cave. In one of the atriums you will pass a crater that is 4m wide and 66 m deep which goes down to the underground lakes. And so through five halls, five galleries of abstract and realistic sculptures, a pleasant 40 minute walk, accompanied by our guide and custodian. The excitement of this adventure is also meeting the animals of the underworld. You will see the human fish an endemic animal that lives only in this environment. At the cave's entrance there is a museum showcase where pottery of prehistoric man has been exhibited. Our far ancestors would probably leave the pots during the hot, dry, summer day to collect the precious water, drop by drop.

Top 5 Croatian islands

1. Best for couples: Vis
Life is simple, but people are complicated as cynics will say. But it is precisely the simplicity of living even through the most chaotic touristic periods that makes Vis significantly different from other tourist destinations. Simplicity is the essence of this island tailored to men which is used in its whole by most visitors. Consequently, not just its protruding edges, Vis and Komiža, but also the numerous bays in the island's interior leave you breathless with their luxuriant fertility.

2. Best for culture: Korcula
The island itself is rich in art and culture, as well as beautiful nature such as numerous tiny and secluded beaches and bays, small and uninhabited islands and breathtaking views. The main town on the island is also named Korcula. It is a typical medieval walled Dalmatian city, with its round defensive towers and cluster of red-roofed houses. Marco Polo (1254 - 1324) the famous world-traveller and writer, as well as a Venetian merchant, is reputed to have been born in Korcula. In the old town of Korcula where his supposed house of birth is located. It will shortly be turned into a Museum of Marco Polo.

3. Best for relaxation: Mali Losinj
Where the stars look beautiful like nowhere else, where you breathe with your full lungs, where waves of Istria, Kvarner and Dalmatia intertwine, and where the last North Adriatic school of dolphins swim happily – that’s where the Lošinj Archipelago is located. This is a magical place that will seduce you with all its attributes - scents, tastes, sounds and preserved natural beauties.

4. Best for foodies: Pag
The distinguishing ”white desert” appearance of Pag Island is one of the reasons this place offers so many top-class delicacies. Namely, the barren landscape hides herbs such as thyme and rosemary and Pag sheep graze freely on these aromatic plants, awarding us eventually with paški sir – Pag cheese which has been recognized as one of the best on the world market year after year. Besides this, Pag is also famous for its lamb, which prepared traditionally ispod peke (under a metal lid covered with hot coals), is a foodie treat not to be missed

5. Best for beauty and buzz: Hvar
Located at the end of a beautiful five mile long bay, amongst heavily dense wooded hills.
